What is the Event?

The Fintech Connection Forum is the official launch of the Draper Ecosystem's "Fintech Connection" - our brand new mentoring program targeting early stage fintech start-ups. This invite-only event will be an opportunity for fintech start-ups and investors to learn from industry leaders about the most disruptive technology in fintech. This is an opportunity for start-ups to showcase their businesses to venture capitalists active in the fintech space.

Why is the Fintech connection at Hero City unique?

It provides the opportunity for young financial technology companies to work alongside leading financial institutions and get mentoring from corporate partners, VCs, and entrepreneurs. It empowers companies to develop disruptive financial technologies and provides investors a first glance at fintech deal flow. In addition to mentoring opportunities, companies accepted to the Fintech Connection will receive desk space and special access to events at Hero City and Draper University.

1:00-2:00: Jeanine Swatton (Yodlee) - Fintech landscape and leveraging platforms and partnerships to accelerate business growth.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND FINTECH CONNECTION FORUM?

CEOs and Founders of fintech start-ups, developers, corporate executives, media and investors in the fintech space. This event will be an excellent opportunity to learn about new companies in the space as well as meet new investors.

IF I AM A START-UP, WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR DETERMINING IF I RECEIVE AN INVITE?

While we would love to invite all start-ups, we do have seating capacity constraints. When determining who to invite, we look at a variety of criteria:

  1. how many competing companies we already have signed up;
  2. uniqueness of your company; and
  3. synergies your company might have with our members in Hero City.

WHAT TOPICS WILL THE FINTECH CONNECTION FORUM COVER?

We are hosting some of the most innovative companies to demo. The fintech companies at the event will range from data analytics to payments. We aren't industry specific so you probably can expect to see anything from consumer lending to insurance to robotic lending.

HOW MUCH DOES THE FINTECH CONNECTION FORUM COST?

We have organized this event to support the Fintech entrepreneurial community on the West Coast. Hence, this forum is invite-only and complimentary.
